Maybe you found us through Memes For Togs. Maybe someone forwarded a link. Maybe you were curious about a publication that didn’t exist yet. Or maybe you were trying to procrastinate—as you are probably currently doing now (that’s why you’re reading this). We appreciate that. We really do.
From the creator and curator of @memesfortogs comes The Tog Times — a publication built by photographers, for photographers, about the things photographers do when they think no one is looking (or especially when someone’s looking).
The Tog Times is the natural offshoot of MFT — the same energy, same audience, same complete lack of patience for the things this industry puts us through — just in “newspaper” form, with a masthead (whatever that is), editorial policies, and the audacity to call itself a publication. The two will work hand in hand. Think of Memes For Togs as the id and the Tog Times as the id wearing a press badge and taking notes. (Go ahead and look up what “id” means. This newsletter will wait.)
The inaugural issues is almost here. Before it lands in your inbox like it owns the place, we wanted to make sure you still want to be here.
Stay, or Don’t. We Respect Both. One More Than the Other. (And you know which one.)
If you want to be here when the inaugural issue drops — do nothing. You are already on the list. The Times will find you shortly.
If you’ve since lost interest, decided photography was a leech draining you of finances and mental peace, and have moved on to living a life in your parent’s basement (again) and have thrown away you gear boxes (how could you?) — the unsubscribe link is at the bottom. No hard feelings. (Say hello to mom for us.) We’ll be fine.
The inaugural issue is coming. It has opinions. It has a masthead (there’s that word again) — cue Inigo Montoya to Vinzinni, “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means”. It will find you shortly.
